Join the annual Ride of Silence, an organized annual cycling procession honoring those that have been injured or killed. The goal is to raise awareness that we are here, and to ask that we all share the road.
Save the date for the 2025 Chicago Ride Of Silence - May 21, 2025
Our route typically passes several Ghost Bikes, which are powerful memorials to fallen cyclists created by painting a bicycle white and placing it at or near the site of the cyclist’s death.
DATE: May 15, 2024 (always the 3rd Wednesday of May)
TIME: Gather at 6:00 pm
WHERE: Hundreds of locations world wide; Dickens Greenway Plaza in Lincoln Park, Chicago
One day. One Time. World wide.

Anyone with access to print signs to display as we process -- from pedicabs, from bike racks, etc.... We welcome your creativity and contribution.
The Chicago Ride of Silence is seeking someone with a bike trailer to pull a ghost bike in the procession during this year's Chicago Ride of Silence on Wednesday evening (May 16) - contact Elizabeth directly if you can assist - (elizabeth@rideofsilence.org)

Suggestions to keep the ride moving and minimize congestion at the ghost bikes?
Should we still stop at each bike? Minimize stops at each bike?
We have a lot of ground to cover this year and we need to be mindful of the time, too.
Don't forget to print extra flyers to pass out to passers-by night-of the ROS.... we have these posted for easy printing:
