All are welcome as usual to Ice Cross in Jackson Park this Sunday. We are adding a fixed gear category, will continue with the madisons (including one race where two riders share one bike!), and, barring technical difficulty, will have a fire barrier.

Hey Ivan, there are weekly races Sundays at 10am in Jackson Park.

Sweet!!! Found a cyclo crew!!! Built up a cyclo bike just for this. Any plans for rides soon? Please? I hope?

Conditions at Jackson Park as of late afternoon Saturday were absolutely mucky and perfect, with very little ice. Hope to see a few of you at Ice Cross tomorrow morning, even without the, er, actual ice. FYI, due to the conditions, the course will likely be cut down a bit and we might substitute some logs for barriers.

Attendance was way down, and the race was cut really short (the coffee stop afterwards was probably as long as the ride) but yes... one guy rode all the way to and from the north side, so he's the toughest one of all. We couldn't even set up the barriers due to the snow, and I kept crashing by falling through the ice crust into the powder below (broke my camera, lost my phone) but... oh well.

I'll be at the St. Charles race.... look for the obnoxious all-white Trek in the three's race. I was dead last on my first race, but my bike is now angry because I've been using it as a commuter, so hopefully it will be a little faster this time out.
