Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Routes on Ride with GPS, here.

On Facebook, here.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

mmm the blackberry and the rum are the standouts. nicely complemented by the Japanese tacos.

ok, next time! i have in mind 12th Step, date TBA, and Weather Be Damned, New Year's Day. anybody else?

winter boots were a game-changer for me, because now my feet stay dry. before, wintry mix would get in through the holes in my booties for my cleats, and then into my (summer) shoes through the holes for ventilated.

Ah shoot, unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be able to get away. But enjoy! I’m in for the next ride or meetup. Just bought a pair of winter boots for colder rides

they said:

For Deep Wood Series releases, our Taproom opens at 12pm to accommodate the crowd. Feel free to come by anytime after that!

the crowd! let's aim for 2?

The public preorder for these beers will begin on our webstore starting Tuesday, November 16 for pickups starting Friday, November 19. Curbside and walk-up pickups begin Friday at noon, where the Taproom will be pouring the featured beers and exclusive draft variants. The Revolution Brewpub will also be pouring all three release beers when it opens at noon on Friday.

I could probably do either, 2 might be a bit better. Let me know what they say!

great! but now i'm unclear when they're opening. the first link says 12 p.m., but usually they don't open until 2. i just emailed them, let's see if they get back to me. 1 if they open early, 2 otherwise? what would be good for you?

I might be able to, what time are you thinking?
