Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Routes on Ride with GPS, here.

On Facebook, here.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

North Shore Century next sun. 9/10? leave @ 8:30 from from Intelligentsia Broadway + metric century option + return = 82 miles total?

"5% / Intervals of clouds and sunshine. High 73F. Winds NE at 10 to 15 mph."

8th step posted! leaving @ 10am from Intelligentsia Broadway.

departing from tradition, 9th step this year, sat. 9/23, will stop at St. Al’s Oktoberfest instead of Imperial Oak's Oaktoberfest.
