Hi! I'm picking up where this left off in March. I was trying to find a thread on the Yuba Mundo- I've been hitting Google pretty hard as I wait to pick ours up on Wednesday... I've decided to leave my little guy in a seat for awhile, though the monkey bars due out next week look awesome. (I can't wait!) I just left a laundry list of questions on the main page. This was really informative- any thoughts on the go getter bags vs other brands? Is the Yepp the seat that people seem to go with?…

David - did we meet in the cargo bike area of the swap today?

Our yuba was locked up out front next to our Madsen for awhile. I'm sure many saw then. But, if you did not and are interested in checking it out, send me a private message. We are in Logan Square.

Zach's comments remind me of one distinct drawback of the Trek Transport: the kickstand. In particular, the kickstand does not like a loaded bike where the load is off-balance, and does not do a good job of supporting the bike if the wind catches the bike.

There have been a number of instances where the bike tipped when loaded, once with my son on board. (He was obviously shaken, but OK. I did a good job of hiding how shaken I…

I did a good job of hiding how shaken I was.) I am now very careful when I load the bike, and only buckle my son in when I am about to get on the bike myself.

My 4 year old daughter and I roll around with this setup hooked to a Surly Karate Monkey, and we love the thing. I don't tow any Honda Civics, but 6 full grocery bags, a lightweight kid (31lbs) and her bike in tow, no problems.
