Wasn't there, at some point, a bright yellow ball/object up in the sky???

I may be wrong.

It might be a dream or a fantasy but I swear to god I recall that there was a luminescent object up in the sky that was so bright that it hurt to look directly right at it. It started out in the east and somehow travelled across the sky to the west and then it, mysteriously, vanished. (wtf?)

I need a reality check here - Do you have any idea idea what I'm talking about or am I being delusional or has sky has, forever (FOREVER), been a mute, pervasive shade of grey?

If I recall the thing in the sky was bright yellow mostly, really, does anyone remember this or am I just imagining things??
