<p>It depends on the tires being used, number of people, the number of circuits and above all the weather. If it's pretty dry and you aren't doing too many loops, the course probably isn't going to get torn up but if the ground is wet then the race is probably going to tear up the grass pretty quickly.<br></br> <br></br> <cite>Chase C said:…</cite></p>

<p>The Joliet Bike Psychos used to put on a circuit race in LaSalle county. I did it once, didn't feel it was less safe than any USCF or ABR sanctioned race I did. Might have had less insurance, but if you're injured it may come down to your person medical insurance if you get hurt anyway.</p>
