Unidentified bicyclist killed in hit-and-run in East Garfield Park

An unidentified man was killed in a hit-and-run while riding his bike Saturday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

About 12:40 a.m., a white Chrysler 300 going west in the 3700 block of West Lake Street struck the man as he rode his bike across the road, according to Chicago police.

The driver fled the scene, and the man was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital.

Chicago police’s Major Accidents Unit was investigating.
