There are usually rides starting at 7:26 AM in Naperville on Saturdays, just two blocks from the BNSF train station. I notice that 7:26AM is also the time when the first train from Chicago arrives in Naperville.

Is there any interest from City riders to join these rides? I think the start time could be moved back a few minutes if there is such interest: http://www.napervillebikeclub.com/ride_calendar/index.php

26th was good to ride on. Industrial on the east end, it becomes more residential once you go further west. But I did ride it early on a Saturday Morning, so YMMV

Kelly D. Grills said:…

Thanks for the route advice Kelly. I ended up taking Wolf Rd. down to Willow Springs Rd., mainly because i didn't pay attention when building my cuesheet.

I agree, it's a very enjoyable area to ride. I definitely have to go back to follow the other suggestions you made.

Kelly D. Grills said:…

A touch narrow, but in good condition & very ride-able.

I also had a look at Jeans Rd., as I've never ridden it either (I normally turn off Madison @ 97th -> Bluff -> Cass -> 91st). That's an industrial area, decent road, save for alot of loose gravel. You'll take Jeans under Rt. 83 then S. on the sidewalk to the trail access.

I think you'll find this route quite enjoyable!

Take Willow Springs Rd. S. -> German Church Rd. W. -> Wolf Rd. S. -> 91st W. -> Madison S. -> Jeans SW. -> Rt. 83 S. & pickup the Centennial Trail at Rt. 83.

That's part of my regular commuting route. I've never actually ridden the Rt. 83 S. portion (I park at 91st & Cass, ride from there) I'm pretty sure it's shouldered from Jeans & has a pedestrian lane over the river. I can check it out on my way home tonight if you'd like.

Sorry, no feedback on 26th from me either.
