Yawn,

Guess Print papers are starting to get it, from the internet age perspective, publish a silly/unfounded/controversial op/ed piece to generate clicks on their website. Don't reward them with your clicks or ire.

I like how the writer assumes that the 1.3 million car owners would be fine and dandy with removing stop signs and speed bumps from the streets where their kids play.  Usually these traffic calming devices are installed at the request of car owners.

OK, the parking meter deal and speed cameras are horrible but it's a separate argument.

"...maybe they should organize a million-car crawl along the Kennedy and Eisenhower. Tomorrow morning from 6-9, and every morning and afternoon after that. All drivers hate every other fucking driver, and they really don't care much for driving either."

They do this every morning. It's called "driving to work".

Some say moves to dissuade people from driving are for environmental purposes. However, in contrast, I say is traffic jams that are bad for the environment!
