Route suggestion- Forest Park Blue Line station to Butterfield/York in Elmhurst?

Sunday afternoon trip...who's got a peaceful easy route for me?

Need to get to roughly Butterfield and 294.

Thanks!

Illinois Prairie Path trailhead in Forest Park

It looks like this. Details (which are nearly the same as Daniel G's suggestion above).

You have a bad street crossing at Mannheim, although there are traffic lights about 1000' north and south at Madison and Washington (which becomes Butterfield).  Cross the street at Mannheim, follow Warren Street west, which is just south of the intersection of the IPP and Mannheim, and turn right on Forest.  The restart of the IPP is right there.  I don't like using Washington/Butterfield, as it is two-lane with moderate traffic, and a bad gravel shoulder.

Thanks!

Trying to figure out what happens to the path before it hits Butterfield (I've ridden short stretches of Butterfield and survived before).  It looks like it doesn't exist at all before it picks up again at Butterfield.... any such thing as a detailed online map of it? Finding nothing.

If it was me, I would take the IPP to Taft Avenue, and drop down Taft to Butterfield, and use the underpass there.  I haven't biked that particular stretch of Taft or Butterfield, but they are both comparatively low traffic and seem bikeable.  Since the IPP has no street crossings between that Butterfield crossing and Taft, it might be worth sticking to.
