I've done the ride down to Bridgeview before. It's an easy ride mainly down Archer. Keep in mind that if you don't want to ride the full roundtrip, you can ride back to the Midway Orange Line and then quickly connect to basically anywhere.

It's a day game. ;-) We take the lane as a pack. We get off Archer at Narragansett. And take 67th? (I always forget where we turn off and just remember by site) and we're on Harlem for 3 blocks where you are welcome to ride on the sidewalk til ya get to the hill and walk down.

The Ride home is more of a challenge cause it is getting dark but with the game starting at 3 it won't be to bad.

It may be an average distance but the last mile or two is pretty non-bike friendly. I ended up riding a good chunk of the way over that bridge on Harlem on the sidewalk.

Archer, the most direct route from my part of town, is a pretty crappy ride also. Parts of it (around the 5700 block) just got worse as it has been repaved (yay!) but painted with a wide lane separator in between the two directions of traffic putting more a squeeze on the outside lanes (boo!).

I ridden out there a few times in daylight. Today in fact I was in the vicinity. I'm kinda reluctant to ride out there at night and then drink a bunch of beer and try to navigate that gauntlet back home while intoxicated.

iggi said:
