Greetings,

IDOT and team partners are hard at work on the State's first Bike Transportation Plan and are ready to hear from you! Outreach workshops have been scheduled across the state this summer to gain your input on how to improve bicycling in Illinois. This outreach effort will be an important component in guiding the final recommendations of the plan, so show up and have your voice heard!

There are two varieties of outreach workshops; one targets a professional audience (engineers, planners, city administrators, etc), the other is designed for the general public. Please attend the workshop best suited for you. RSVP at www.surveymonkey.com/s/ILBikePlanRSVP.

In conjunction with the start of the outreach meetings, we will be launching an online interactive survey the week of July 7th. Log in that week on the Plan website's Provide your Input page (http://www.illinoisbicycleplan.com/illinois-bike-transportation-pla...) and take the survey for another opportunity to provide input.

In addition, IDOT is launching a Photo Contest to get the best pictures of bicycling in Illinois for use in the final plan document. Contest winners will get their credited pictures included in the final plan document and the grand prize winner will get their picture on the plan cover! Please email your pictures to illinoisbikeplan@altaplanning.com with the subject line: ISBTP Photo Contest and include your first and last name in the email with the picture(s).
