Occupy Chicago

Apparently the "Occupy Wall St" movement has spread.

 

Anyone want to ride/stop by Willis Tower tomorrow night? Who knows... this just may be history in the making.

Man, I'm itchy for some change. Would be nice if the movement had a couple cohesive messages; some actual solid demands. I suppose "change is really necessary" is okay for now.

 

And from the looks of it, the crowd could probably really need that good ol' CCM energy. Well, without the part where we wreck stuff. Not that part. I mean the jovial part. It's a PEACEFUL protest :)

I personally feel that while it appears that they're just walking around and complaining a lot, they're doing something very, very important: stimulating conversation.

Today at lunch looked like dwindled down to about a dozen?  Did they move locations?

I created a Chainlink event and a Facebook event. I can link to the Chainlink, but can't get to Facebook from here at work ;)

Erin&Me can't do Sunday but we're gonna' bike over from Oak Park, late morning tomorrow.  If there's anybody who wants to come with us, just contact me through globalguy at gmail. Also, check out this great Op-Ed piece in today's NYTimes by Mr. Krugman, "Confronting the Malefactors".

Jera!  I saw your words from Occupy Chicago Day 8 on YouTube. Well done! Any pans for 15 October this Saturday.  Erin & I can finally come down to the Loop.
