An absolutely delightful morning for the pedal into work.

Indeed...

On a two day streak of wrecking every commuter's morning with jorts and creamy winter legs. It's an absolute treat outside right now, almost cried pushing my bike into work.

I rode today! Unfortunately saw a girl on milwaukee near... western I think? Between Cal. and Western... get doored HARD. There was a bus to the left and this lady had been sitting in her car and just violently threw her door open. The cyclist had no room to swerve even if she had time. I stopped and she said she didn't want to call the cops. Super shaken up.

this is the most perfect day for long sleeve-T and jeans... well shorts would have worked maybe better, or jorts even.  to each his own.  perfect... my only complaint... a slight headwind.  on a side note, this fast cyclist passed me on Clark going into Evanston, on a smoother stretch... but when we got to the nasty part where the road is all chewed up and wrinkled, my fat tires allowed me to keep up with him no problem.  not that he was trying to out do me anyway, I just noticed that he had to slow down quite a bit, and Im assuming that if he didn't he would have damaged something or got a flat perhaps.

YES YES YES YES YES.  Best Day Ever.  I'm sure the LFT will be busy tonight on the way home, but I'll suck it up given the empty happy lovely morning!

What a beautiful bike day!  No complaints here!

SHORTS !!

Nothing drastic out there with the rain today. Forgot how "stuffy" some of my rain gear can be but i did not mind it with return to chillier weather. Hoping this rain will bring out some green as I am sick of the drab scenery on my commute.

I rode and for the first time in 3 years of commuting - I was offered a ride. A very nice women in an SUV tried really hard to give me a ride. I had to politely decline at least three times.

I had on my full rain gear (Helly Hanson - which doesn't breath) at the stop light the wind starting blowing really hard and must have looked like I was struggling - but I was just enjoying the tailwind. It was a nice gesture and I am thankful.
