The Erie Canal is really nice and takes you through some interesting areas. There is also camping along the canal. Mostly wherever there is moorage for boots, they'll allow a bicyclist to camp.<br />

The ACA routes are pretty good, though I didn't always follow it since i often stayed with Warm Showers hosts.
