Get My Bike Thief

Reward for the beat-down of the POS who stole my bike! It had a blue "Hands Off" bumper sticker on top tube, red and white "Liberal" b.s. on vertical (seat) tube. Serial #13A52758, U-locked and cable outside Macy's 11 E Randolph, btwn 7-11 pm 12/27. Beat him shitless and the Schwinn is yours.

Oh man, U-locked and cabled, huh? Thieves defeating u-locks are always my biggest fear. What kind of u-lock was it?

Locked wheel to frame with bike "straddled" over a U-rack. Must have removed wheel to take off of the rack, then carried away... down a sidewalk covered with people.

Am I understanding that the bike was not locked to the rack? You placed the bike and wheel over the top of the U of the rack, then locked the quick-release wheel to your frame beneath the bike rack? Seems that method of locking would make it easy to snap the quick release and lift the bike off. Is that how you had it locked?
