The Chainlink

Coming up tonight and next Wednesday!

The Active Transportation Alliance is partnering with Friends of the Parks and Chicago Area Runners Association to host two Friends of the Lakefront Trail Visioning Workshops. Friends of the Lakefront Trail is a new initiative of Active Trans, representing the interests of Lakefront Trail users and working to improve the recreation and transportation conditions on the trail.

Come tell us about your experiences using the Lakefront Trail and share your ideas for its future. Your input will help shape our advocacy goals to improve the trail!

I wish the 2nd one didn't conflict with another meeting that I need to attend.  Is there any chance of additional meetings?  Two doesn't seem like much for such a major resource.

What the LFP needs is protected walking-tracks so that peds can safely walk at their own pace on the path without being run over.

-or dedicated bicycle expressways to keep the fast-movers who are using the path for transportation to and from downtown segregated from the slow meanderers and leashed dogs walking at the end of their lines...
