Selling the above wheel set for $120 obo.
They are Weinmann DP18s with a 16t cog and lockring currently installed. Flip flop hub, so it's SS ready. Was purchased new and ridden for about 2 seasons and has probably <500 miles on the set. Rock solid construction, needing no truing for my entire time riding them.

Just because it annoys me and needs to be clarified.
Those rims are not Deep Vs, Deep V is a specific model of rim made by Velocity, those are DP 18s which are made by Weinemann.
They are a similar style of rim but not the same.
I don't know anyone who thinks that way. It's false advertising. Using your logic, ANY deep-walled rim would qualify to be called a Deep V, when that is obviously not the case.
State EXACTLY what you're selling or have someone who knows what they're talking about do it for you. It's not a difficult concept.
That reminds me...I need to stop and get some facial tissues on the way home.
No, you're absolutely correct the name has become a catch all name for deep section rims. I never thought you meant to mislead anyone it's just something that makes me nuts to see. Mostly because the proliferation of the name deep v for any deep section rim leads to so many annoying conversations in the bike shop when people find out how much a real Deep V costs compared to a Cheap V.

You're correct, but quite honestly it's the same as "kleenex". No one calls facial tissues facial tissues, everyone calls them kleenex regardless of brand.
