<p>4) Indoor bike trainer for exercise when the weather is too bad to get outside</p>

<p>Also, a winter vacation somewhere warm always helps, if you're able to manage it. I took my first winter vacation 3 or 4 years ago and vowed that it would be a regular thing.</p>
