We also have to make sure you have the badge number and license plate of the officer's vehicle. Then, after staying quiet during the encounter we can make sure to absolutely not shut the fuck up by making public that badge number and by reporting said officer to his/her/their superiors. The Redit writer described a situation where it is not a he said/she said, but a situation where the Uber driver admitted fault and citizen witnesses confirmed the dangerous maneuver that caused the cyclist to be hit in the bike lane. I do not see a lot of room for discretion unless the victim begged the officer not to write a ticket. If the Uber driver was Hispanic, African American or exhibited a sexual orientation other than the officers?? </span></p>
