So, it's no secret that people are not as gung-ho on RSVPing for things as they were when thechainlink was young and fresh-faced. Still, considering positive RSVPs for our big swap topped 100 both of the previous years, it would be at least good to top that number maybe just as an omen of a successful year.

For us suburbanites that have to drive in and are bringing items to sell, where is pay parking (lot) in the proximity of the Field House?
No pay parking that I know of around there, just street parking.

Their website suggests otherwise:
VEHICLE PARKING
We highly recommend biking to the event or taking public transportation. Vehicle parking will be available in local lots for $5. Street parking is limited.
I have an e-mail in to their contact person. If I get any info I will post it.
Hmmm. The operative term being, "that I know of." I honestly don't know where that would be.

The parking was really tight on the street last year, but if you get there early enough, you should be able to find a nearby spot. We had the kid in tow last year, so we drove and managed to find some nearby street parking (less than a block or two away). I advise getting there by 9:30 a.m. or so and you shouldn't have too much of a problem. I am not sure where the local lots were last year, we didn't see any (or weren't aware of them).
P.S. Just changed my "might" rsvp to a "will attend" LOL. See everyone tomorrow!
Howard I will be there ~10am and be available most of the day.
DHB
Hey all, we have worked with a local church across the street on Noble, it will be $5!
Thanks,

I've collaborated with Steve Vance on a letter to Mayor Emanuel, CDOT Commissioner Klein and Police Superintendent McCarthy asking for a coordinated education and enforcement effort to accompany the coming bike network improvements.
Anyone who would like to read the letter and sign it should look for me (wandering or at the Chicago Cycling Club table) or Steve Vance and John Greenfield (at the Grid Chicago table) tomorrow at the Bike Swap. We will have copies and signature pages there.
There is a public parking lot just off of Division on Bosworth Ave. It's metered but a few bucks will get you a few hours. Just sayin..
Please drop by the Bike Winter table in the afternoon between 1:30 & 5:00 and say hello. I don't want to be bored.
I'll be there!
