Hello Chicago Cyclists!

I was looking around online for Routes or information of Bicycling Tours that highlight your cities Famous Eats (Hot Dogs, Pizza, and Italian Beef... am I missing any???) and to no success I was comming up very short. The Majority of what I was finding didn't start for a half a month at least (and they did'nt or wouldn't share their routes or stops). I happen to be comming to Chicago tomorrow (5/1/15) and was hoping I could gleam some tips or even better routes from this community!

Any and all tips are appreceated! Also if there any other tours or rides I should do while in town please let me know!

PS... I'll probably be renting from the Divy thing... I didn't plan this trip out to well and don't have any of my bikes with me!

PSS... Thanks in advance!

I say make your own ride! Post it here on the calendar and even though it's last minute you might get a few people to show up.

A few places I like:

Green City Farmer's Market

Mr. Beef on Orleans

Al's Italian Beef - the one on Taylor is the original I believe

Chinatown - just dock the Divvy and walk around

Honey1 bbq

Margie's Candies for Ice Cream -

Hot Dog joints are everywhere - so long as it's Vienna Beef frank dragged thru the garden you're good

Frances Deli on Clark makes a great Reuben

Those are a few I can rattle off the top of my head. If you're interested in visiting any I can recommend a route that would connect a few.

Rich,

Thanks so much for the advice! I'm mapping it all out now!

As far as the group ride, I think it would probably be a pain for most people to have to stop with me every 30 minutes to swap bikes! (Unless there are Divvy stations out front of every stop...)

Thanks again, I really appreceate the advice!
