Thanks for the reminder... Just over 300mi, and I haven't been hit by a car. So far so good?
Participated and it went well - 176 miles of commuting. Did not ride every day (commuting from West Suburbs). Team had about 1000 miles. Unable to attend any of the events. I enjoy this challenge every year. It's an opportuntity to work with employer on biking issues and pull in co-workers to the event.
The rally is always so much fun. So many familiar, friendly faces and this year had a performance of that great song by Blackstone. I tend to be shy but I got a lot more involved in activities this year (The Chainlink had a pretty busy schedule for the two weeks) and really loved it. Having rides, workshops, ABUS Instagram, and Ferris Bueller has me meeting so many cyclists. And going to Critical Lass. :-)
It's amazing how huge our Chicago cyclist community is - with commuters, social rides, families, century riders, bike cops, advocates, racers, etc. And so much to do on two wheels. I really love riding in Chicago.
