I'm looking to get a powerful bike headlight for night riding.
My rides tend to last about 1-2 hours but I could go longer with a better light.
I'm using 2 led lights which do okay but are not real good.
I just want something brighter so rabbits and squirrels no longer scare me as they run across the trail.
I am looking at amazon as of right now and so many choices so little time!
Ideally I'm looking for rechargeable.
My price range is under 40.
I have seen a lot of choices but I wondered if any of you have had good luck?

Thanks,

X

hope to have it here by 30th!!

XndeX, great to hear. I hope it works well for you to scare dem varmits off the trail. A word of warning, when you are on a trail (or road) with cyclists, peds and motorists, try to aim it a bit downward so as not to stun and blind them, please ! Good riding with your light. See you down the trail !

This is a great headlight. I got mine on Amazon.com http://amzn.com/B00GJZ015Y

Also, service after the purchase was excellent.

I've been happy enough with my current (for maybe a year) that I've bought it for friends. 500 Lumen and 2400mAh for $25.  The max setting is so bright it annoys oncomers but lasts well under an hour.  The middle setting is still quite bright and last well over an hour. Amazon.com/dp/B00SHP63ZG

I can also vouch for this 1200 Lumen lamp for only $14, which uses any USB power pack (such as this $12 5000mAh).  Amazon.com/gp/product/B00URF0I0A

But neither are perfect.  I could imagine costlier ones having better focus or battery life.
