Is anyone going on the McDonald's L.A.T.E. Ride? It's on July 11th, same day as the Tour de Fat. Lotsa bike action in one day!

I haven't signed up yet, but I'm probably going to do this one.
I would love to do this ride, but I cannot support McDonald's. They are an evil corporations.
I guess your right.

But Daniel, don't forget that this ride benefits Friends of the Parks, the organization that helps keep unsightly velodromes out of city parks.

"A velodrome in Douglas Park - I mean who is going to use - number one,
no one uses a velodrome in the city of Chicago"
--Friends of the Parks president Erma Tranter as interviewed on NPR
Friday April 10 2009.

Why would you not want to support this cause?
We need to keep our city parks forever free and clear of ugly, expensive structures that nobody's going to use.
Can't you just kick Ronald in the nuts and then hop on your bike and enjoy the ride?
Sign up! We're still looking for volunteers. If you want to ride as a course marshall, your registration is Half Price! http://www.lateride.com/volunteer.php
I'll be coming down to ride with one of my sisters. Interesting quote - but you know, it's all a slippery slope. If you let in velodromes, they'll be installing 1-mile drag strips in all the major parks before you know it. ;)
It's the same day as tour de fat! I'll be too drunk to ride by the time the McDonald ride starts.
