The Chainlink

I'm sure to post more as I whittle down my possessions pre-move, but here's some stuff for now:

Older computer stuff: HP Deskjest 970 Cse printer, Iomega external CD burner, external hard drive (can't recall the capacity, but I wanna say between 10-20 gb), and a Delta 1010 audio interface for recording (uses a PCI slot interface). FREE!

Bike stuff: Specialized footbeds (size 45.5, red), assorted seatposts and seats, oooold-assed Raleigh stem, 32-hole Mavic CXP-33 rim with busted hub and a lil' wobble (but might be good for rebuilding), and a pair of platform pedals with plastic toeclips/nylon straps. FREE!

Also 2 wrecked bikes good for parts: Trek 660 with Shimano 600 bits (missing cranks and rear derailleur), and my late, lamented Bridgestone RB-1 (bent fork and derailleur hanger) with Suntour GPX brake calipers, along with seatpost, bottom bracket, and other stuff I can't recall. TAKE 'EM AND GIVE 'EM A GOOD HOME!

The following bike parts are for sale and prices are definitely negotiable:

Randonneur bars--$20
Suntour Superbe rear cassette hub, NOS--$50
Suntour cassette NOS--$30
Cardiosport heart rate monitor, never used, still in box--$25
Bridgestone MB-4, 19", fully fendered with black Zefals, Nitto Technomic stem, NO REAR WHEEL--$100
Bridgestone RB-2, signs of being in a wreck, but rideable (definitely at your own risk). Or just swipe the Shimano 105 group from it (it has brifters!), along with its headset, seatpost, stem, etc.--$50

Radio Shack digital tire pressure gauge. Still in box/never used: $15

Coleman "5 in 1" Air Compressor, still in box/never used: $20

I also have a Pottery Barn bookshelf that's all metal and wood, and looks more or less like a ladder. $50

2 Ikea chairs with yellow cloth cover and what looks to be maple (laminate?) wood frame: $25 for the pair

And there's a wacky table with a copper (?) top with an ornate, curlicue bottom that's as heavy as Black Sabbath vs. Pantera in a steel cage match. I'll post pics before too long. Best offer!

hi jason - I just e-mailed you but I'll stop by, give you money for, and pick up, any bike "box o' parts" and/ or incomplete projects you might have left over [what no one else wants] ... and good luck btw
Sorry to everyone for my ass-dragging response time. I think the latent stress of moving that's percolating inside is taking its toll, and I've been dealing with the worst insomnia--waking at 1 AM, staying up until 10AM or so, napping until 1PM, heading out to ride a bit, then feverishly cleaning my apartment. AND my phone has decided to go kablooey on me; but I'll be getting a new one tomorrow.

in any event, I'm going to go down the line as to who wants what; in the event that the initial party doesn't want it, I'll move down the line to the next response. So far, it looks like the RB-1, RB-2, rando bars, assorted free bike bits, heart rate monitor, tire gauge, and computer stuff is spoken for. If anything falls through, I'll notify the next interested party ASAP. Thanks so much, y'all!

P.S. Dana--the bookshelf looks to be around 5 feet tall.
Oh yeah! I also forgot to mention that I have an old-school, 25" Zenith TV that is free to whatever powerhouse that can tote it outta my pad. Also: a 20" Apple flat-screen crt monitor. BOTH ARE FREE!
i'll take that monitor! YOU NEED TO BE CALLING ME MY MAN! 773-255-6347 - Lee
Done deal---to both! I'm getting a refurbished AT&T phone tomorrow, and will be proud to again be a part of the 20th century! ;-)

Has another phone run away from you?
Hi,
If the 105 group set is still available, I'd happily take it for $50.

Cheers,

Alright folks. barring any kind of nonsense, I'll be getting a new phone today and will hopefully be back in the telephonic realm around noon. So I'm going to start getting in touch with those who want stuff. That being said, I'm still feeling pretty rotten, so those who want to enter my sick house today need to know it's at their own risk. ;-)

BTW, I found an abandoned folding bike, and it's also free to a good home. It looks like it may need a new chain and just a little love.
I would love to take the folding bicycle ... I am phoneless at the moment, but I can stop by whenever is convenient for you.

Sorry for dragging ass in replying to everyone. Trying to coordinate the move and get everything squared away long distance is like conducting a ballet with one-legged people. Anyway, I taking today "off" from these onerous duties and attending to these free/for sale items.

The Ikea chairs are gone; the computer stuff (minus the hard drive) and heart rate monitor are spoken for; Iggi is interested in the copper-top table; John has claimed the printer; Julie H. would like the hard drive; Lee wants the RB-2 and Apple monitor. But everything else is still up for grabs.

Also, a few more items:
White Silca frame pump (too small to fit my main bike's top tube, though): $15
Minoura Mag trainer, used 1 "season": $35

In the next couple of days, I may also have a $hitload of books to give away, too.

So if anyone is interested in any of these items, feel free to email me or call me at 773.320.2432. Thanks!
It looks like Willy has claimed the Silca pump, and the copper top table may also be spoken for. Everything else is good to go.

I also have some never-used Vittoria Randonneur 700x28 tires that I'd unload, $30 for the pair.

And to add to the free mix: An 8 oz bottle of Renew Intensive Skin therapy Melaleuca moisturizing cream.

Call me! 773.320.2432.
