Great post, David. It will not help me, but I imagine there are others who might take advantage of this useful information.

Had to go to work today, 18 mile round trip in T-shirt & jeans - loving this weather.

Some crazy looking skies across the lake early this AM.  It was even better in person.

Had to run to THD yesterday, picking up conduit for a project. Tying it to my bike worked better than expected.

I rode a Divvy bike to work today for the first time in about five weeks. I take a lot of December off from bike commuting due to darkness and holiday-crazed drivers in the Loop/River North, and January had been too icy/sloppy so far. But today was great, with sun in the morning, mild temps and light holiday traffic. I'm always amazed how easy it is to be lazy and think of excuses to NOT ride a bike, and how hard I have to push myself to get back in the habit.

Rode all the way to work for the first time in almost 3 months. I sure do like the new pavement on Lincoln. Smooth as softened butter.

The ground was interesting this morning, I was expecting more snow but it was a hard slush that was pretty slick.  Saw a few wipe out spots on my way in from other riders, but otherwise temp wasn't too bad.

Wonderful Gnarly Tree pics from Gene Tanner today! Lincoln Park?
