The Chainlink

I'll be out there and wondering who else will be doing the full 100 miles?

I have a few folks I know from other groups that we will be riding together with, and we are looking to keep a decent moving pace (18+) and short-ish stops.  The idea is to finish the entire thing in under 6 1/2 hours.

I saw a few others mention they are riding it but there wasn't a single thread when I searched.  PM me or reply here and I'd be glad to give my contact info out for those that are looking for some company to ride with.  And a good workout!

We are planning on meeting at the dunkin doughnuts at Belmont at Clark at 5:15. We are taking Clark all the way up so we might see you along the way. The weather is looking great. Ill be riding a gray soma with a red trunk rack.

I'm late to join in here, but I'll be riding the full century and would love to join as well! I'll probably be in a white/black jersey, riding my gray/blue Cannondale synapse. I'll be there before 6:00 to hopefully join with either of the 2 groups!

@Chitown_Mike - what pace are you guys aiming to ride? Last year I plodded along with one other guy around 14mph avg, but I'd like to pick up the pace this year.

@Deet, I'll be riding up from Logan Square around the same time - probably leaving a bit before 5ish. Let me know if you'd like some company on the ride up!

i plan on being out there also,,,the only thing i know that i will be wearing is  my red Litespeed! Hope to run into some of you guys along the way! Be safe kids!

Are you Litespeed Bob with the really long name from Monday night ride?

that's me!

I will try to find the group at 6 a.m. as well and stick with the 18mph group as long as I can. How much time do I need to budget for packet pick up (I am pre registered)? This is my first NSC. Forecast for 6 a.m is 60 degrees :)
I'll be out there at 8ish if anyone wants a little later start time. Look for the comrade cycles kit.
If anyone is interested in viewing the 100 mile route on a "flat" map (as opposed to Google Earth's satellite view), I have a public Google Map published:

https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zbgotIKnVZ2s.kewv-MQ2gA4E

I found it helpful to run the route through the GEarth's fly-through mode and follow along with the regular map.

Carb up, rest up, and oil that chain! See you all at 6am!

Steve usually only about 5-10 minutes.  They are really quick in the morning.

If it is going to be as windy as they say it is, 18 going north at least might be troublesome.  Either way a group to ride with makes this a ton more enjoyable!
