Any suggestions for a 40-50 mile ride on a Sunday morning?

Some friends and I are looking to go about 50 miles or so roundtrip this weekend. We are kinda looking for a destination for breakfast/lunch/snacks/drinks and then return home. We have been on most of the north-south routes, but were hoping to find something "real Chicago" to include this weekend. Does anyone have any recommendations for a destination? We would most likely be leaving from Armitage and Damen area and are open to any and all ideas. Thanks much.

Three floyds!!!
DUDE!!!;-) Bike the Drive!!! ;-) Sunday Sunday Sunday! ;-) And for breakfast after the ride i would suggest S&G's at Lincoln and Southport. My fav spot in the universe. John is a son of one of the owner and always the MOD. Great guy! ;-)
Keep in mind bikes are allowed on Metra (a weekend pass is only $5.00) so you could always head out in one direction and then take the train back. The Illinois Prairie Path starts in Forest Park and continues on to Wheaton where it splits off and heads to Aurora, Geneva, Batavia and Elgin which would probably give you your 40-50 miles. Once your into DuPage county the trail is quite scenic and of course car free.
Chicago Cycling Club has rides most weekends. They're riding around Hegewisch this Saturday.
I would've paid to have seen that.

Ride up to highland park and back. Its a good 40 miles, either via the north branch trail (elston/devon) or Sheridan. Beware though, in my experience people up in the northern burbs are really uncomfortable around cyclists. I've had an old lady get out of her SUV and chase me asking for my name and number because I wasn't going fast enough (in traffic, in construction). Its pretty up there though.
Thanks for all of your suggestions. Must say Three Floyds sounds like the most fun. Bike The Drive is cool, too, but we may be looking for something a bit lower key. I work near the beginning of the Prairie Path and would like to try that, too. Thanks again and if anybody else knows of a good restaurant or something in the suburbs, please let me know.
have you been on the club/training rides with XXX, and VCR? Check out VCR maps (very nice maps), otherwise why not just play about with some city touring. There are yearly chicago tours which might be interesting (Boulevard, Night ride, more..) to find the routes of and reproduce.
