Help? Don't know how to get this freewheel off. (another)

I think it might be splined quite far in. It doesn't seem to take your standard freewheel remover--unless the park tool fr-4 is that small--not sure. It's on a shimano600 tri-color if that gives any idea of tools from that era. I can take a better picture if this is that terrible. 

 PART TWO: 4/13/14

So I'm working on another bike. I thought I knew this stuff but it turns out there's so much more to it--which is both frustrating and fun. I'm sure someone knows what to do. Here's a photo with me holding an FR-1 for comparison. I've tried tons of stuff but nothing fits. It's pretty large. Another cassette? Coming off of a ROSS mountain bike from...the 90s probably. That's a cassette, not a freeweel cluster. the first cog is threaded, so use two chainwhips to remove.

Good catch on it being a Cassette.

Looks like an old Uniglide or something vintage along those lines.

Hey Alex.  You didn't say why you want to remove it, but if you need to change cogs for some reason I have a pretty good supply of NOS UG cogs.  Not every tooth count, but enough to make a cassette with usable range.  You can easily modify HG cogs to fit that hub as well.  If you're not going to use them, I might be interested in your old cogs, especially the thread on one.

Thanks, Mark, I'll keep that in mind. I'm gonna try and play around with it, but if I decide I don't want it, I'll let you know.
