I'm riding, but with my brother's team (The Lizard Kings, based out of Cedar Rapids). I'm hoping to take the Bicycle Illinois charter out there. This'll be my first Ragbrai, and I'm really excited for it!

That's an awesome team name!

I am interested. already considered using pork belly ventures for support and rides. PM if you want to discuss more. also a ride to the end town is planned - PBV transports you and the bikes and gear to the start town

I'm also interested but I don't have a clue.

If interested in learning more details about RAGBRAI, the Vernon Area Library in Lincolnshire is hosting a free program with author Greg Borzo about his book, "RAGBRAI, America's Favorite Bicycle Ride."  For more details, check out: http://bit.ly/bike2library

Chainlink will have a table there too so we can all meet up and chat about the ride there as well!

I would love to do it, but it's a costly ride when you add everything up.

I will be doing some less expensive rides this year.

I have a friend who does another ride the same week in Michigan, it's smaller and he likes it that way.

wisconsin has two (most states have these also) : SAGBRAW and GRABRAWR : I have done both and they are smaller; less expensive and almost as much fun as RAGBRAI

Dave: Do you know their cost and if they're looking for more riders? I'm looking around on behalf of 3-5 riders including myself. We are going to likely be on the Illinois Charter too but then need a group for the weeklong sag.

I've done it a bunch of times and going out on Illinois Charter. I'm looking for a group to sag with on the ride.

I'd love to ride a couple of days but I probably couldn't make the entire ride due to the time commitment required. Has anyone done the ride solo and/or just a couple days of riding. I'm wondering if it would be worth the drive out there, coordinating sleeping, and getting a ride back to only ride a couple days.
