Has anybody seen this: http://divvybikes.tumblr.com/post/75901469713/divvy-winter-olympics...

I already have 50+ rides, but I haven't gone out of my way to ride the divvy bikes any more than usual. I could easily put it 50 more by the 16th.

One ride is a check out and check in. In theory, you can do that over and over and rack them up quick. I mean, if you were really determined to get an electronic gold medal lol.

I'm glad Divvy is promoting winter cycling!

I got a bronze medal for divving 5 times in the date range. I'd say their standards are pretty low.

This calls into question the legitimacy of the Netherlands current medal total.

They need to give prizes. Such as a jersey in the pattern of the Norwegian curling team.

Do you read the Wall Street Journal, by chance?

By the way, the Dutch swept the podium again this morning. If you have lost count, that is the fourth time during these Olympics.

Standings as of this morning.

I did lose count. Thanks for that.

I consider the most remarkable showing the Women's 1500m speed skating event. The Netherlands' had the top 4 times. Their 4th fastest skater in the event couldn't get on the podium but was still fast enough to beat the rest of the field.

[snip]

I laughed last night when Bob Costas said "The Netherlands was idle in terms of medals today since there was no speed skating."

Maybe it's because they don't have vents on the backs of their jerseys like Team USA ;)

Those are awesome but maybe not nearly as awesome as their more "formal" attire:

The official tally of  the Divvy Olympics

http://divvybikes.tumblr.com/post/76960916197/the-divvy-winter-comp...

I'd say there is at least 313 overachievers in this town.

I have my own bike which I mostly use, and I still managed to get a gold metal.  Not that difficult, apparently :)

Happy to be a Divvy Gold medalist! (Pats self on back.)  I haven't counted my trips, but I'm almost certain I've had way more Divvy trips this winter than I did all summer + fall.  Once the salt trucks came out, my personal bike went into preservation mode storage and I used Divvy exclusively.  It'll continue that way until the city's first rainfall washes it all away, or I tire of the "punishment" of >15 miles a day on Divvy.  Speaking of, it's pouring out!
