Looks interesting. Would I be completely out of my mind to attempt it on a fixed gear bike?

If a few people have ridden the Great Divide fixed, anything is possible.

I have done this ride the last few years, weather has been epic. It is WIDE OPEN  and there will be tons of wind, there are a few 10% plus inclines that you will have to climb. You would be a brave soul to do this on a SS. See ya out there.
