Excellent letter. And, the first comment wasn't from a bike hater, but from none other than our own Anne Alt!

I wonder if he sent it to the Tribune as well. (Or directly to Kass.)

Great letter!  I have two boy's 13 and 15 who, up until this week commuted to school daily via bicycle and every morning as they ride off I pray for a safe return.  The stories they tell me about drivers yelling at them that they should get off the street and onto the sidewalk. Being honked at and cut off by drivers. Its a sick situation on the streets of Chicago and most American cities. It has to change.  Look at Europe.
