I had a couple riding "firsts" this weekend- first ride in a thunderstorm and first ride below 50 degreees f.

I actually put on one too many layers this morning! Whoops!

Count me in the "LOVE" this weather group.  I'd rather pull off layers.  I think I ride faster in the 50's.

These past two days have been wonderful for riding!  I rode from Humbolt Park Chicago up to a friends place in Gurnee on thursday.  I rode back today for a total of 84 miles.  Both days had perfect weather.

Well let's see - up to Milwaukee on Sunday, back to Kenosha on Monday. Rode in today with my dress shoes on. I'm really going to try to stay on the city bike all winter!

Coldest ride of the season so far. Nothing a hat and gloves couldn't take care of, though.

I threw on some tights this morning. I thought to myself, "Self, you should MTFU. You're being a wuss."

Well, I was glad I had them on. I was expecting the < 50 degree temps, but not the headwind. It was a wee bit nippy.

Riding from Wicker Park again and switched back to the upright bike with the chain guard.  Wearing my work clothes with light gloves and a light jacket.  Love it!

"...back to the upright bike..."

Why Lisa, are you 'bent, too?

Headwinds made me love my fairing today.

LOL,

No, from my LHT to the Linus Dutchi.  Quite a change--for me--in riding position.

Doesn't that fairing create more wind resistance while it keeps the wind out of your face?
