Who Did You Run Into (See) Today On Your Commute/Ride?

Who did you run into that you know today on your ride? Today was unlike any other day, especially in nice weather.

Aaron at Belmont and Clark and then my brother's ex girlfriend/yoga instructor at Schubert and Clark.

let's get you some chainlink shirts.  Probably time for another run of shirts and both types of jerseys since I keep getting requests.  I'm also thinking about bicycle license plates.  Now that I'm back from the wedding planning crazed time to get on all this!

Yesterday I saw a lot more than I liked however, when my new inner tube literally exploded (nine inch gash on a seam) taking out my back tire.  And it happened at the point on my ride where I am furthest from the CTA....

yes that was awesome.  Sorry we didn't see you at bar night.  It was a great group and Fireside gave us the whole back patio!

I hope I didn't run into another Chainlinker this AM at Bryn Mawr and Jersey/Kedzie.   He was on a real nice bike.   I exchanged a brief pleasantry at the light.   Then we both pushed off at the light... well one of us.   The strap holding my pannier had pulled loose and caught the wheel causing me to go down.  

Ugh.....

I was biking North on Sheridan just as the torrential rain began to pour.  In a fit of joy I yelled "Woooohoooo!!" and a girl going the opposite direction responded with a "YYeaaaaA!".

Saw Serge near the Diversey Harbour underpass today. Not sure he recognized me, as I had glasses, hat and helmet on, and was riding a different bike.. Hi again Serge!

Saw J.A.W. stopped at the light in the northbound Dearborn Lane at Randolph as I left the Daley Center today. Was not fast enough to say hello as his light turned green before I got close to the curb.  Hi Will!

I still don't really see anyone I know cycling because I don't know anyone else who cycles in person. :( just on here. I need bike friends!

Same here. I have no bike friends. Just car friends. Some don't even like bikes. Losers. Anyway, CL should have some meet-and-greets from time to time. Like every quarter or six months. Maybe I should look at the massive list of organized rides . . .
