Judge William Hooks is presiding over the case. He was assigned to it at the arraignment but was not present that day, so another judge stood in. He's directly presided over the past two pre-trial hearings and will continue to hear the case for its duration.

A more thorough coverage of the trial is available at http://chi.streetsblog.org from the Oct 2nd issue by John Greenfield.  A lot more information in this article than seems to be coming from elsewhere.

Thanks, Catherine, for the judge's name. Thanks for including the link to information about Judge Hooks.

The next hearing will be Monday, October 7th, Rm. 301 at 26th and California. Time TBD but probably 10:00 a.m. John's article says the time will be at 10:00 AM.

I would hope that some "unofficial" watch is being kept on this guy to find out if he is actually driving.   Sadly, often folks with suspended licenses continue to drive because the system doesn't usually catch them.

Another posting on the subject.

It seems as if a lot of "unofficial" watch is being kept and as we find it we should make it more available to all.

Yeah, this blog update just arrived by carrier pigeon...

What is the relevance of this old blog post with no updates to Crazy David Furlong's question?

What was the question, I can't seem to find it mousing back thru the list.

Are you OK, Bob?

I'm fine, thank you for asking.

Any information on the court appearance on Monday, 10/7 at 10 AM?

Was there a court appearance?

What was brought up?

What was decided by Judge Hooks?

Is there a future court date scheduled?

Bob. If you have such an immediate need for updates regarding the progress of this judicial proceeding, why don't you show up for these court dates?

Also the picture at the top of the page looks a little blurry. Kind of ironic for a dui lawyer.

Thank you for your very useful response and update information.  You were being very helpful.

I'm sure there are other users such as me looking for information that other would like to share, since many or most of us following this are unable to attend the court proceeding due to other things to do in our lives.

Just because we don't show up doesn't mean we aren't interested in Ryne Sanhamel, while allegedly driving drunk with an alleged Blood-Alcohol level of .127 allegedly drove into and allegedly killed cyclist Bobby Cann.

You, too, are supplying very useful information and a most appropriate comment.

You must be happy to be in the inner group.

Bob, the snarky comments likely are more in response to your tone than in response to your actual requests for information. You are coming across as somewhat entitled.
