Nelson Vails is in town!
Raised in Harlem, cycled as a NYC messenger and won a silver medal in the 1984 Olympics.
He's attending a number of events and promoting/fundraising for a film of his life journey.

Here's a bump with new information...
I got a telephone call, a couple nights ago from Nelson Vails. Wow. What a surprise.
He wanted to do a "meet and greet" at my shop Saturday evening (tonight, the 24th). I told him I'd be honored, and I'd also buy some pizzas.
