Can anyone recommend a bakfiet/cargo bike builder in Chicago?

I love to use my bike to haul stuff with my current tow-behind trailer, but I'm looking for some one who could build me a bakfiet type cargo bike.  Thanks in advance for any recommendations or referrals!

Legacy has build a(t least one) cargo bike.

Hi Brook, I would be happy to talk this over with you and see what we can come up with.

Give me a call or shoot me an email 773234bike or levi at legacyframeworks dot com

Why custom?  Custom is almost always going to be more expensive than a mass produced bike and there are plenty of great cargo bikes out there on the market.  talk to Brandon about Bullet's Larry vs. Harry he's got several you can test ride.

I have heard tell that Legacy is a very good builder and shop.  If you want to just buy one, you could also check out JC Lind

Jon Lind is a great guy and he specializes in cargo bikes.

I'd even let you test ride my Civia Halsted if you are willing to come up to Andersonville.

I don't have a cargo bike, and so haven't used his services, but Toms Cargo Bikes looks pretty cool.  He does custom builds. www.TomsCargoBikes.com

I sent you a friend request with contact info for a friend who might be able to help you
