A Bell for a Buck

I just bought a lot of 25 bells on eBay.  They might be crap, but if so, they will be cute crap.  I thought it would be a nice way to drag myself and some of the other Chainlinkers out of the woodwork.  I paid $20 for the lot.  I'll sell them for a buck apiece (huge profit there!).  The only catch is that we need to connect in person, somewhere in or near the Loop.  I'm not going to mail them, and have no idea where the next ChainLink get-together might be where I could reasonably expect to show up (hint: I've not been to one yet...)

I'll update this thread once they have arrived.  Then we can figure out how to exchange bells and bucks. (Maybe meet some lunchtime at an intersection by the Dearborn PBL?

Good to meet folks today.  My coworker, Jeff, and I hung around until about 12:20.  If we missed you, my apologies for not hanging around longer.  Give me a shout and we can connect again later in the week.

Are there people who work outside the Loop that want a bell or two?  Let me know and I'll try to coordinate a connect.

Thanks for doing this, and nice to meet you and the other Chainlinkers I did not already know who showed up right around noon.  And they are pretty good bells for $1.00!

I do. I think I sold eight the other day, so if my reptilian brain's arithmetic capabilities are still up to snuff, I should have 17 left. :-)

Would I be able to meet up with you sometime this week perhaps? I work until 10pm tonight... Id be able to meet you most days weekdays after 7pm. I live at Dearborn/Polk and work over in the Fulton River District.

I wouldn't mind grabbing a couple of these.  I work at Lake and Dearborn, so not far from your office.  I can meet you there or near there or run over to your office one day on lunch.

Next Monday I'm game for meeting folks wherever.  My normal route to work is from Evanston to the Loop, either via Clark or the LFT.  I can scoot a bit further west though.  Swinging by my office (71 S. Wacker) is always a possibility.  Tuesday is pretty heavily booked unless you want to drop by the office.  Otherwise, feel free to suggest a time and place to meet.

Your office is right on my path back to the train, so dropping by on the way out in the evening might be a possibility, if you're game.  Otherwise, lunchtime is good, I can always use the walk.
