I had to yell out three times this morning at idiots standing in the Dearborn bike lane at a red light.
Clarification: I had the green light, the idiots standing in the bike lane had the red.

Got a flat on my ride home, so I took the bike to Cycle Smithy. They returned my bike with the brakes disengaged! WTF? Good thing I always check my bike over after getting work done!

My air horn is in a bottle cage.

I use an Air Zound. It's a marine air horn, charged by a plastic air flask you fill with any bike pump. The button mounts easily on handlebars. It's a serious attention-getter, for about 30 bucks.

Haha! Ive seen a ton of these folks over the last two weeks. I think you should ride up to them, pat them on the back and say, "Want to know how I know this is your first ride of the season?" Then obviously thank them for riding and welcome them to the party.
Beautiful ride today. If you are experienced enough, drafting an 18 wheeler is a great way to beat a headwind!

Sort of. Got one mile from home and heard strange sound. Sidewall at rim had given way (although intertube had NOT given way). Had to ride home (slowly and carefully) and swap out the wheel. So I added some extra time and mileage in the area of the city that's not all that fun to ride in... and the headwinds seemed to be pretty bad...

One thing you can do as a quick road fix for that (if the failed area of the tire isn't too big) is to slip a dollar bill between the tube and the inner surface of the tire.

It was a very bizarre tire failure. The inner tube didn't go and the tire held pressure. I was walking it home to change wheels, when I noticed I still had pressure. So I gingerly rode it home to swap out the wheel. Fortunately (?) I have wrecked enough bikes that I have several spare front and rear wheels that I keep in the garbage with pressure up ready to put on. I know the "solution" when on the road, normally with failures in the city during the commute I either get on the CTA with the broken bike, or lock it and come get it later.
