Illinois Praire Path Conditions?

I have never been on this trail so I have a few questions. 1) has anyone been on this trail since the heavy rains, is it passable? 2) what is the trail surface, asphalt or crushed gravel?

It's asphalt from Forest Park to Elmhurst, then mostly limestone, with a few stretches of asphalt.

I do not know of the current conditions

I'm on it (or near it) daily from Berkeley to Villa Park and it's all dry now.
