I was at that Millenium show too and I couldn't agree more.  I was so impressed with the power one guy with his guitar could have over a crowd.  I stuck around for the "main" act and couldn't understand why Hansard was the opener.  I saw many people leaving after his set.

Also looking forward to seeing Glen. I missed the Vic show last year, and the only time I've seen him play was opening for Eddie Vedder at the Chicago Theater. I love Pearl Jam and EV, but they still attract an inordinate amount of loud, rude fans. Glen even called a heckler out at one point.

Here's a cool story with video I came across recently of a Kevin Pollack talk show where Glen talks about meeting one of his idols, Van Morrison

Painfully short/rushed set at the Eddie and Glen show.... followed by a needlessly long intermission. That was the Tuesday and Wednesday after the Millenium show.

Were you at the show where a drunk woman on the main floor toward the right (stage left) was "assisted out?"

Love Brokeback and heard great things about DL's show here (at Old Town School) last night from MPIT = music people I trust. I might change plans and head down.

I'm going. Daniel Lanois was awesome last night at the OTS. I'm also excited to see Brokeback. As far as I can tell, anything Doug McCombs is involved in is gonna be great.
