Ladies and Gentlemen, Red-Tailed Hawk (on a) Bike.

Seems like an awfully lot of front end trail (and wheel flop) for a front-loader.    Best be sure to load the rear end first before moving on to the front I would think.

I wonder how this one handles with various loads.

Having the load slung to the frame and not on the steer side of the front end does help.  But wheel flop is "drop" and weight over the wheel still effects the drop due to gravity.  The more weight up front the more it wants to push it down.

That fork looks like it has zero offset/rake.  Load that front end up and not the rear and I bet that bike is going to be wicked scary steering -frame mounted rack or no.

What do you mean? An African or European Red-tail?

Donkey-sharing comes to Chicagoland!

Chester, one of IGO's three pilot donkeys

In a bid to combine low-emission transportation with animal companionship, IGO will be launching Donkey-Sharing on April 1st.  The first of its kind in the nation, Donkey-Sharing will revolutionize your transportation needs.  A trip to IKEA?  These little fellas aren't afraid of Schaumburg.  A jaunt to the grocery store?  Of course--as long as you bring 'em an organic apple on the way out!

IGO is piloting donkey-sharing with donkeys Chester, Francine, and Irma. IGO's in-house donkey whisperer Michelle Thoma says, "When I scratched them vigorously behind the ears, they told me they can't wait to meet our animal-loving IGO members."

CEO Sharon Feigon gushed, "We're excited to be ahead of the curve on donkey-sharing, and studying opportunities for recapturing methane gases that will be used to heat the stables and power grow lights for alfalfa fuel that IGO donkeys love to eat."   Custom stables (painted IGO blue) will be built adjacent to train stops on the North, West, and South Sides, and the IGO community is being encouraged to contact IGO with suggested sites.

Finally, if you already own your own donkey and can attest that it is well-loved and cozily-stabled in your backyard, please consider our June 2013 roll-out of Peer-to-Peer Donkey-Sharing.

I hear that Chester is a real ass.

Fear not, next week IGO is introducing Eeyore, but I'm sure he will be heavily booked.

Eeyore is an over-stuffed ass!
