The Chainlink

The people on the north~ side haven't seen what a real critical mass is. If you call yourself "GRASSROOTERS" Then I think that you all need to be out on the North ~ Side Critical Mass. Why; because north~siders (not all) but a lot of them are follow trends! They don't start them. It's kind of like being in the burbs. You see if you see a pack of people on bikes, you'll want one & join in riding. A mass of people has a bigger impact on you & your'll more likely follow the cause to save energy cleaner air.

I don't think it is a very good idea to be promoting the 'let's cripple traffic attitude';. That's when people start acting like typical jerks bad things happen. Fun is fun, bikes are bikes and bikes are fun, but when there is deliberate instigation of bike vs. car, I take the side of the car and the drivers. And yes there are exceptions where drivers are the jerks, but considering we do have the potential to become an unruly mob I am thankful the city permits us do as much as we do. Especially with Naked Bike Ride. Think we cuould pull that of in China ? The cops are always nice now and they make sure we go through with out to many problems I've noticed on the last several months. It only takes a few jerks to make everyone look bad, attitude is everything and we are here top promote an alternative to cars. As hardcore of a bike person I am, I do drive on occasion I don't hate cars, I hate slow traffic times and accidents. Some people do need to drive and we have to exist in harmony. If you put a bike against a car, I am always gonna bet on the Car to win an argument. I respect that to a certain degree.
Hey cutiffly I drive also, but I think that you missed my point. There're people that don't do critical mass rides because they think that there is no cause . I disagree with it. A mass is to take over the streets from cars. When we mass we will ride around in a circle of an intersection.
