The Chainlink

Hello all!

Recently I've become very interested mountain biking. I bought a hard tail MTB off of craigslist a week ago to try out some trail riding at Palos. I ran into one problem: the suspension on the fork is pretty much shot.

Hopefully someone on this site can help me out. The steer tube needs to be 1-1/8" x at least 7.5". It is an older Kona with rim brakes, so disc compatibility is not important. Also, I am a broke graduate student that doesn't want to spend a fortune, but of course I don't want a junky fork, either.

Thanks, and happy trails!

- John.

I have a RockShox Judy C that you can have for a six pack. It's nothing fancy, and I am not sure about the steerer tube. Will have to measure once I get home.

If you can get out to Palatine for the swap meet tomorrow, you might find something.

Thank you both!
