Snake bit on the rear on the way in this morning & the Gatorskin was a pain in the a$$ to get back on; but, other than that, it is a beautiful morning for a pedal into work.

Nice week all around.  Loving this weather!

GO DAN!

I rode today.

First time bike commuting since Aug. 29 (the crash).

got sick and tired of using the same excuses over and over.

felt great.

I was completely overdressed...but it didn't matter.

1 bike passed me (didn't matter).

passed FOUR busses (the #66) - now that mattered.

did I mention how great it finally felt ?

thanks for reading

So I took a few moments and went back to some of the 2010 & 2011 posts about Winter riding.

I'm gonna say it...

I'm ready for some SNOW!!

Rode in Amlings Cycle Toys for Tots ride this morning--what a beautiful morning and a fun ride all the way around.  For one thing, people in cars were honking at us IN SUPPORT!

I also rode in the annual Amling's Cycle Toys for Tots Ride!
Thank you to Joe at Amlings, Mystic Celt for the yummy breakfast, USMC for ALL you do, and Niles and Chicago Police for the escort!!!!!!!

whoever didn't ride in todays great weather should go hide behind the 'shame curtains' for a take 5

Great shot!  I rode there too, as did a whole bunch of our fellow Chainlinkers.

I rode today in the city for the first time since I got back.

Schlepped from the South Loop to The Wormhole in Wicker Park with my bestie @markmceachran for a productive half day (and a fantastic cup of coffee), then attended the press conference and rolled the inaugural Dearborn ride up to Kinzie and back.

Can't think of a better way to spend a December day.  Glad to be home.

80 miles today, from my home near 110th & Damen to the Home Cut Donut Shop in Joliet.

Must be some donuts!
