Hey ya'll, I'm going to be doing free Sunday morning classes at Rapid Transit on North Ave.

The first one is this Sunday at 10 and will cover basic bike maintenance and such.  Future classes will be determined based on community interest and things I feel like teaching.

If you are interested in coming to a class please contact me here or respond to Ye Olde Facebook Event.

Is this reply good enough?  Don't do facebook!  I can't pass up a class two blocks from my house and will definitely attend.

Works for me; see you there.

Given the timing of this event immediately following the Santa/Dreidel/Elf Rampage and December Midnight Marauders, please make sure there are lots of power tools available. And farm implements would be good too...

I will try to get there.

Also, will try to get my buddy George Vanderfor to come tooo.

Do we need to bring anything ?

Plus, I will get a chance to meet some of y'all there!!!

You don't need to bring anything but I really like doughnuts.

Just sayin'

If anyone is on the fence about doing the class at Rapid Transit, I did a course on Sunday nights a few years ago and recommend it very highly. One of the best bike-related experiences I've ever had. Learned a TON about my bike and I thought I knew a lot. Very rewarding experience beyond just getting my bike suped up.

I can't attend this weekend but hope to soon!

Back to the top for a reminder about the class tomorrow.

Come on by if you want to.

Yep; not planning on the greatest turn out but there will be more classes in the future.

Marauders is tonight?

Since I have not deliberately seen midnight in many years, I will see you tomorrow.

Thanks to DUG and Rapid Transit!  I was a class of one today--guess the rest of you were out marauding and rampaging in the rain. Really, get some sleep next time and show up.

The basic maintenance class was really great, especially for me.  DUG explained things and demonstrated them very clearly.  Plenty of time to allow hands on, too, since the class started at 10:00 and the shop does not open until noon on Sunday.  There will be more classes, I hear, and on different topics.  Watch this space!

There were doughnuts.

They were delicious.

I really wish more people had shown up so I did not have to eat them all; I'm going to need a bigger belt.
