Rode on Sat ...northbound on Kedzie from Archer...forgot why i don't go that way. Road condition sucks, and so do the drivers.
Then the family and I went to McD's and shopping with the Instep Turbo Elie trailer. Completely cool !!! Had a great time watching my youngest gain more confidence on his ride.
:)
About 15 snow pellets fell on me this morning!
I missed some of the previous cold days, but today was the first day I wore my winter gear, and I was glad I did. The wind made it feel a lot colder than it really was...
Looks like instead of coming in with a big bang, winter is slowly creeping up on us this year.
You were counting? Didn't that distract you? :-)
It was okay. I was on Hubbard and there was hardly any traffic! ;-)

For me, the fact that it was overcast/foggy and cold w/wind, made it feel colder. I don't seem to mind the cold as much when I'm on lake path and there's a cool sunrise or something else cool going on.

This is on the south side of Diversey as you enter the parking lot for the golf range that sits on the north side of Diversey Harbor on the west side of Lake Shore Drive. It amazes me that there is this amount of greenery left somewhere, Julie.

Ummm, I wonder if Gene cycles through the Lincoln Park Zoo greenhouse on his commute?
This morning was ok if you were going with the wind. But today was the kind of Chicago cold that tends to get under your skin, latches onto your bones with its icy hooks, and makes you think about the trip home in a few hours with a particular cloudy dread.

I wish I had the time. The Conservatory is one of Chicago's most beautiful attractions. It is outside of the northwest side of the zoo. 'Tis free, has limited bicycle parking and is open year round.
